This weekend I had the privilege of listening to Dr. O.S. Hawkins speak about being a person of influence. God has designed a specific sphere of influence, our own swim lane that is custom made for each of us. Here are a few thoughts on how to be VIP, and maximize influence within our sphere:
How to be VIP
- V – Vision: Know where you are going. You want to have a clear vision for what God has in store for you. Understand that it takes time, money and perseverance to see it through to fruition.
- I – Integrity: Know who you are. Integrity is rooted in your private world, between you and God.
- P – Purpose: Know why you are here. Be moved and motivated by an internal purpose.
Billy Graham was often quoted asking, “I know who I am, I know where I’m going and I know why I’m here, do you?”
