From Jesus Calling:
I am your best friend as well as your king. Walk hand in hand with Me through your life. Together we will face whatever each day brings: pleasures, hardships, adventures, disappointments. I can bring beauty out of the ashes.
And provide for those who grieve in Zion - to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. - Isaiah 61:3
Heavenly Father, thank you for being my Lord and King. Comfort those in their time of need and bring beauty out of ashes. Help me to face this day and every day hand in hand with you.
